ANNUAL REPORT - 2014
Habib Physiotherapy Complex continued its services for the Rehabilitation of Physically Disabled where indoor and outdoor patients were facilitated. The detail about the treated patients during the year 2014 is as under;

2. Volunteer Services
Habib Physiotherapy Complex provided volunteer services (free of cost) or on nominal rates for Local Community and Afghan Refugees. Two different camps were organized during the year 2014 at Habib Physiotherapy Complex and in parts of K. P. K. Number of patients were examined and treated free of cost and free admission and therapeutic regime was offered at Habib Physiotherapy Complex.
U. A. E. Red Crescent, Islamabad arranged a distribution program for wheat flour wheel chairs, sewing machines and clothes for the poor and deserving community from different areas of Peshawar. U. A. E. Relief Coordinator Dr. Khalid Latif along with his team organized the activity effectively. 30 wheel chairs distribution in a function at Habib Physiotherapy Complex while other 30 wheel chairs – 10 to Khalifa Gulnawaz Hospital, Bannu for IDPs, 15 wheel chairs to Hangu and 5 were distributed in Peshawar.

A well known Orthopedic Surgeon – Dr. Khaliq ur Rahman is running his clinic successfully taking care of both Local and Afghan Refugees patients.
Numbers of patients are getting benefit through this facility by enabling them to bring back to normal life with provision of orthotics and prosthetics at discounted rates.
Habib Physiotherapy Complex got a specialist for audiometric patients as. He treats numbers patients; local and Afghans as well.
Special Children Care Unit has been started at Habib Physiotherapy Complex where polio effected children are being treated regularly.
Mahboob School of Physiotherapy enhanced a new floor with couple of class rooms, office, female common room and state of the art museum. New Floor Inauguration was done by Vice Chancellor – Gandhara University, Peshawar
World Disability Day (6th December)
It was celebrated with great zeal. Additional Chief Commissioner Afghan Refugees K. P. K. was the chief guest. Participants highlighted the importance of day through the speeches and skits. Special participation by Special Education Complex Children made the event more meaningful. Chief Guest encouraged the efforts being made by the M. S. P. to highlight the importance of the day.
New Batch Doctor of Physiotherapy – 5th Batch inducted at Mahboob School of Physiotherapy – classes started in October, 2014. Mahboob School of Physiotherapy got state-of-the-art facilities for its students having full-fledged facilitated class rooms, computer lab, library, multimedia, skill lab etc.
11. ICRC GENEVA
I. C. R. C. (Geneva) is having Memorandum of Understanding with Habib Physiotherapy Complex where we provide residence to female and children amputees of war victims against terror. This facility has been continued regularly. ICRC delegates visited us by the end of December 2014.
Mahboob School of Physiotherapy is running 8 months Short Course on Physiotherapy under Prime Minister Youth Skills Development Program with the collaboration of National Vocational and Technical Training for FATA and KPK Students. Currently 50 students are being benefiting under this program – 25 from FATA and 25 from KPK.
13. NEW DISCIPLINES
Academic Council Gandhara University approved M. S. in Physiotherapy, AD – DPT and Bachelor in Special Education (B. S. E.) to be launched at Mahboob School of Physiotherapy from current session.
Short Course for Faculty Development and Enhancement are designed and different courses for already qualified physiotherapists are designed, to be started within weeks. As Mahboob School of Physiotherapy becoming 2nd Institute of the country focusing on continuous education program in Physiotherapy.
The institute is a formal educational centre facilitating physiotherapists in planning and developing the profession and dissemination of all research work to other health professions, to health planners at all levels and to the general public. It is committed to be a leader in physical therapy through the provision of advocacy, professional development and career support services for its students. .
The institute is a step ahead in the provision of an intellectual environment for innovative teaching, learning and research in the field of Physical therapy and Rehabilitation. It will produce competent, critical, reflective and accountable health care professionals to work in the community. ”.
