1-Rehabilitation Services/ Free Facilities

Habib Physiotherapy Complex (HPC) continued it services for the Rehabilitation of Physically Disabled, as indoor and outdoor patients were facilitated. The treated patients data of the HPC from January to Dec 2007 is as under:

2-The Patron Habib Physiotherapy Complex, Mahboob ur Rahman signed an MOU with  Vice Chancellor, Gandhara University Peshawar, the Mahboob School of Physiotherapy was allowed to start degree course in Physiotherapy. As such the Gandhara University and MSP/HSP have provided have provided first ever such facility in the Province of NWFP.

3 - Mahboob School of Physiotherapy (MSP) declared B.Sc Physiotherapy 4 year Course first of its nature in NWFP, which have started orientation classes at the moment, running successfully.

4 - HPC delegation met His Excellency Ambassador of Qatar at Islamabad, where  bilateral cooperation was discussed. His Excellency Ambassador appreciated the idea of Hammad Physiotherapy Complex at Doha and Habib Physiotherapy Complex Peshawar to cooperate as sister organization.

5 - Patron, Habib Physiotherapy Complex made a visit with his team to Doha Qatar.     Shaikh Ali Bin Abdullah Al- Thani extended full cooperation for this visit and meeting with Qatar Charity Authority were held, Shaikh Ammad was kind enough to listen. A meeting with Dr. Khalid Al- Uzair of Sheikh Eid Charity was also held. They were commited to help our organization. Awareness Seminar about Degree in Physiotherapy was held at Pakistan Embassy at Doha. His Excellency The Ambassador Mr. Asghar Afridi extended his cooperation in this regard. Pakistan community was informed about HPC charity activities and trainings in Physiotherapy, i.e B.Sc Physiotherapy Course. They also contributed to HPC in this regard.

6 - A Presentation for Polyclinic Habib Physiotherapy Complex HPC was given to Additional Secretary Health, Mr. Younis Javeed, Incharge  Health Reform Unit NWFP. The Presentation about Public private partnership, sponsored by Ministry of Science & Technology Islamabad. It was attended by Deputy Chief HRSU, CPO, Health and Chief of GTZ.

7 - Deputy Chief, Health Reforms Unit Dr. Nasir Idrees along with Altaf Ahamad Khan and Economist Mr.Pervaiz Akhtar made a visit to HPC and witnessed the activities of the organization. They will make recommendation about Public Private Partnership and assistance for the same.

8 - MSP/HPC successfully started the classes of B.Sc Physiotherapy on 18th June 2007. the first ever milestone in the history of NWFP.


9 - The Chairperson, Gandhara University Mrs.Roeeda Kabir with Dean Mr. Yar Muhammad Khan, Director EDC Dr. Saadullah and Dr. Tariq made visit of MSP/HPC, She was briefed about HPC activities and teaching program by Chairman Department of Physiotherapy Gandhara University and Managing Director HPC.

10 - The meeting was held with Chairman Tanzim Lissael Wal Mahroom (TLWM) Peshawar by Mahboob ur Rahman and the poors, needy patients support was  discussed. The free camps in the area were also discussed.

11 - The Manager TLWM  Mr. Tariq Swati made a visit of HPC and witnessed our activities. He is going to submit the report to the Chairman TLWM about the need of poor patients/ free camps by HPC.

12 - As an NGO for the support of Afghan Refugee, the Patron HPC attended, Refugees Day function arranged by UNHCR at PC Hotel Peshawar. Nasir Sahibzada of UNHCR informed about DAFI scholarship for Afghan students.

13 - Dr. Hashim Aly and Dr. Khalid of WHO made a visit and discussed about Polio/AFP cases in NWFP with the Patron of HPC at Hayatabad Medical Complex.

14 - Tanzem Lissail Wal Mahroom agreed to extend support to the needy poor patients admitted at HPC, Mrs. Younne Frizzell delivered a lecture to MSP Students about importance of Physiotherapy.

15 - The occupational therapist of Handicapped International (HI) Miss. Cecelli visited MSP/HPC had a meeting with Managing Director HPC and exchange views for collaboration and awareness for prevention of disabilities in the Province.
